The house
Tall pines on every side, a gas fireplace for winter nights and a deck made for long dinners outside. Three king bedrooms and a room with two queens let couples share easily, the game loft gives the kids a place of their own, and the kitchen and long dining table bring everyone back together.

Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Self check-in with a smart lock; arrival details are sent before your stay.
Guests and parking
The Pinewood sleeps up to 14 guests. Placer County separately limits guests aged 12 and over to 12 overnight and 18 during the day; children under 12 don’t count toward those limits, so a group of 14 includes at least two children under 12. Parking for up to 4 vehicles on site; street parking isn’t permitted.
Quiet hours and house rules
Quiet hours are 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, as set by Placer County, and outdoor speakers aren’t allowed at any time. No pets, no smoking or vaping, and no parties or events. Trash goes in the bear-proof enclosure.
Layout, stairs and winter
The cabin has several levels with stairs between them. In heavy snow the grill and outdoor furniture may be put away, and Caltrans may require chains or 4WD/AWD on the drive in.
Cancellation
Full refund if you cancel at least 30 days before arrival, and a 50% refund at least 14 days before. The terms for your dates are shown before you pay.
Payment, fees and security
Your total is itemized before you pay: nightly rate, cleaning fee, taxes and a 1% booking fee. Stays for more than 12 guests include an extra-guest fee. Before arrival, we may place a refundable security hold on your card or collect a refundable damage deposit; if it applies, the amount and timing are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. Exterior security cameras cover the entry and driveway.
